Simple, transparent pay-as-you-go pricing

A session is one complete USSD interaction between a user and your application — from the moment they dial your shortcode to when the session ends (either by the user exiting, timing out, or completing the flow). Multiple menu selections within the same interaction count as a single session.

Your USSD flows will stop processing new sessions until you top up. We send you email notifications at 20% and 5% balance thresholds so you have time to top up before any interruption. Active sessions in progress are always completed.

The minimum top-up amount is GHS 10. There is no maximum — you can pre-load as much credit as you need. Unused balance never expires.

Asterisks currently supports Africa's Talking, Hubtel, Nalo Solutions, and Arkesel. If your provider isn't listed, reach out to support@useasterisks.com and we'll prioritise the integration.

The Growth Plan gives you a 20% discount (GHS 0.020/session instead of GHS 0.025) when you commit to a minimum of 200,000 sessions per quarter via prepaid billing. You purchase a session bundle upfront and sessions draw from that balance.

Yes — every new account gets the first 1,000 sessions completely free, no credit card required. This is enough to fully test your flows in production before spending anything.

Growth Plan customers get a 99.5% uptime SLA. Enterprise customers get a 99.9% SLA with a 4-hour response time for critical issues. Pay-as-you-go customers benefit from the same infrastructure with a best-efforts commitment.

Yes. All your flow configurations are exportable as JSON at any time from the builder. We believe your data belongs to you — there's no lock-in.
